Whale Watching aboard the Tasman Venture
I took my family and a Japanese student out on the whale watching vessel Tasman Venture last weekend. From the moment we walked on board the boat we were well look after and it is an understatement to say the staff made us feel very welcome. Jo made us a cup of coffee before we left the Hervey Bay Marina. On the way out to Platypus Bay Nicky brought out freshly made carrot cake which was delicious and an assorted of pastries. I know my nephews had their fair share of cake as kids do.
It was not long before we pulled up to view our first lot of humpback whales. They really gave us a good showing and we were all in awe over their size and friendliness. While we were viewing the whales we were treated to Vicky’s commentary and knowledge of the Humpbacks which was entertaining. The whole whale watching experience was breathtaking.
On the way home we were offered cheese and biscuits and fresh tea and coffee. We all received a free DVD of the whales and the staff had that free DVD playing on the LCD screen, reminding us all of what we had experienced with the whales…thank you Tasman Venture for a great whale watching tour.
