Hervey Bay Airport
HERVEY BAY AIRPORT : I have been going to the Hervey Bay Airport a lot lately to pick up guest and bring them back to The Palms Caravan Park to stay in our 3.5 star cabins and each time I do a Virgin Blue 1.30 pm form Sydney pick up I am astonished at how many people are getting off the plane, obviously the plane has been full, I realise that not all these people are coming only for Hervey Bay a few will be for the Maryborough township and others for the Bundaberg region, but there is still a couple of hundred people coming to spend time here in Hervey Bay.
Hervey Bay certainly has a lot to offer, with World heritage Fraser Island the largest sand island in the world with rainforest growing out of sand. Pristine fresh water lakes and a fun and bumpy ride to each hot spot. Then of course the Whales that are at play in the beautiful waters of Platypus Bay.
Hervey Bay has that wonderful lay back and peaceful atmosphere, with beautiful safe beaches with views to Fraser Island. Hervey Bay is host to many attractions such as the Historical Village and Museum in Scarness and the fun of Hervey Bays Go Cart track with fun for the whole family.
For the more adventurous explore the area in a Microlite aircraft with Fraser Coast Microlites or take a Helicopter ride with MI Helicopter or a scenic air flight with Air Fraser and not to forget Jumping out of a perfectly good plane in tandem at either 10,000 ft or 14,000 ft with Australia’s largest Skydiving company and multi state skydiving operator Hervey Bay Skydivers. The perfect give for the person that has everything.
So I can see why Hervey Bay plays host to so many people daily.
